Hiking trail - Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park

Description:

The Rio Bosque hiking trail starts in a town of Cádiz, Benamahoma, a district of Grazalema, in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve. The Sierra de Grazalema occupies much of the western massif of the Ronda mountains, covering part of the north-eastern area of the province of Cádiz and the north-western of Málaga. The climatic and geological characteristics of this place (it is the spot of Spain with more rainfall) have allowed the conservation of those natural values that make it a real paradise for outdoor activities lovers, such as for naturalists and travellers. Route description: We will begin the hiking trial in Benamahoma, at the foot of the Sierra del Pinar where the Rio Bosque (or Majaceite) has its source; on whose levels are located the trout farms, quite famous in the area. This trail runs through a forest-gallery, forming a tunnel of vegetation of great beauty and freshness and that will lead us, by the riverside, to the cheerful and attractive village of El Bosque.
