The peak of La Maroma ascent is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring hiking trails of the Sierra Tejeda, Alhama and Almijara Nature Park and one of the most well-known among mountaineers and hikers. With its 2065 meter altitude, the Maroma, belonging to Sierra Tejeda, becomes the maximum height of this protected natural area, located west of it. During the ascent we can observe the different existing bioclimatic levels, each of which is characterized by unique plant species, many of them endemic and difficult to see in other areas of the park.
