The Sierra Blanca is located north of Marbella and West of Ojén, in the province of Málaga. This trail passes through the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO for its botanical value. In this beautiful natural area we can find the Spanish fir which is a tree of the tertiary period, it grows only here and in Grazalema. In autumn is remarkable the colour contrast between the yellow leaves of the chestnuts and the permanent green of the Monterrey pines. This route stands out mainly in two aspects, on one hand by the beauty of the valley and the wide panorama at the peak of Juanar, on the other hand, by its fauna (birds, mountain goat, etc ...) and flora forest, consisting of chestnuts, Monterrey pine, maritime pine and some other Spanish fir. It also has the peculiarity that there are different levels within the same route, making it an ideal path for any person.
